ProgramsFounded in 1934, the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Band Association is dedicated to supporting and promoting concert band music in Ontario, Canada. We work to expand the horizons of all community based music groups.. Included in our mandate is to also support the many jazz, stage, big bands and orchstras that reside in Ontario. We are a registered non-profit charitable organization, and we help host several workshops and concerts each year.
Community Band Weekend The CBA(O) holds a Community Band Weekend every October. This is an opportunity for community musicians to meet like minded individuals, play excellent music under the direction of leading Ontario conductors and perform in a joint concert normally held on the Sunday afternoon with the host band and the Community Band.
